According to research presented by the Justice Policy Institute:
Children are twice as likely as adults to be victims of serious violent crime.
Estimates range from 35 to 46 percent of adolescents report witnessing violence.
Approximately 14 percent of female adolescents have been sexually assaulted.
Youth of color are more likely to expereince violence than their white counterparts.

FOPJC On The Move
FOPJC has been through a lot of changes lately. We have a few more on the horizon. On Friday, July 1 we will open for business at a new location. Our new home will be 503 Crawford Street, next to Travel Designers on the corner of Crawford and High Streets. CASA Program earns national re-certification
Congratulations to Melvina Snead and all the CASA volunteers. Portsmouth CASA has been fully re-certified by the National CASA Association. This means all aspects of the program met the high standards established by the Association. Great work everyone!
